Online readers reluctant to pay for general news

A PricewaterhouseCoopers survey has found that readers are reluctant to pay for general news online, but might be willing to pay for niche information, such as sports and finance. Overall, readers were not willing to pay as much for online news as they were for a print newspaper subscription.
