Oops! Washington Post publishes story with editor’s notes

Peek inside the editorial process at one of the nation’s most esteemed newspapers—a place where the ‘publish’ button is confused with the ‘save’ button.

An online editor grabs the wrong file; maybe pushes “publish” instead of “save,” you name it. These things happen—just ask The Washington Post.

On Tuesday morning, the paper’s website published a story with the editor’s notes still attached. Gawker picked up on it, and although it’s been removed from the Post‘s site, the gaffe will live on the Internet forever.
