Protesters in Egypt ‘hunting down’ Al Jazeera journalists

According to media reports and tweets, Wednesday was a dangerous day for reporters in Egypt as supporters of President Hosni Mubarak clashed with protesters and journalists.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper and his crew were among the journalists attacked; Mediaite said the anchor was punched in the head 10 times. Abbas Al Lawati, a Gulf News reporter in Cairo, has issued dramatic tweets about what’s happening on the ground, including: “Protesters are hunting down Al Jazeera journos. I keep having to clarify that I’m not one of them.”
