Report: 2016’s most reputable brands

Consumers are more likely to buy and recommend products and services from companies that project trustworthiness. Check out those that topped the list.

The Reputation Institute has released its annual list of the world’s most reputable companies, and there are some familiar faces in the top 10:

Rolex made the leap to the top spot after hanging around in the top five for the past few years.

Notably, in the wake of its emissions scandal, Volkswagen fell from No. 14 in 2015 to No. 123 this year.

In a statement, Reputation Institute’s executive partner, Kasper Ulf Nielsen, said that in order to succeed in a global marketplace, “companies need to deliver on all seven dimensions of reputation.”
