Richard Edelman: PR pros ‘need to make greater use’ of infographics

In a blog post, the CEO of Edelman said ‘the PR person must be as comfortable telling stories visually as we are with the written word.’

In other words, they’re (still) hot this season.

You see them frequently on PR Daily (and Ragan.com); they have their own daily website; and your grandmother loves them.

OK, we’re still awaiting confirmation on the last point, but infographics are extremely popular, and the CEO of the world’s largest independent PR firm has taken notice.

In a blog post from last week, Richard Edelman, CEO of his namesake firm, said PR pros “need to make greater use of information visualization.” And by that, he means “simple data visualizations” and the more complex infographics.
