Snapchat fights for selfies in the voting booth
The social media app says the expression is ‘the latest way that voters, especially young voters, engage with the political process.’

Snapchat thinks so.
The company is fighting for your right to snap a photo of yourself in the voting booth because it’s illegal in many states.
It filed a 28-page brief in New Hampshire arguing that selfies are “the latest way that voters, especially young voters, engage with the political process.” Last year, a federal court overturned the state’s ban on election booth photos. The case is in the appeals process.
