Social media responds to PayPal president’s credit card info being swiped

Social media observers can’t seem to decide whether Marcus proved he’s a marketing genius with his tweets or outed himself as ignorant about EMV technology. EMV chips are supposed to safeguard against fraud using encrypted authentication processes. Here’s a taste of the response:

Clearly the PayPal CEO doesn’t have a clue in the world how EMV works.
