According to a Grammarly infographic, people who write cleanly and clearly tend to perform better at work and earn more than those who mishandle basic prose. That aligns with the notion that effective communication is a pillar of business success.

Grammarly analyzed 448 freelancers’ online profiles, parsing each for writing errors. It found that those with the fewest profile typos received the highest ratings from their clients. Meticulous writers also earned more per job across the board. Writers in engineering and manufacturing who made from zero to 10 mistakes per 100 words earned $520.64 per job, whereas those who made more than 30 gaffes every 100 words brought in just $237.42.
