At least it seems like we do, according to a Pew Internet report on just-in-time mobile connections.

It reveals that 70 percent of all cell phone owners and 86 percent of smartphone users have done at least one of the following activities that would have been considered downright futuristic 10 years ago:

• Coordinate a meeting or get-together
• Solve an unexpected problem that they or someone else had encountered
• Decide whether to visit a business, such as a restaurant
• Find information to help settle an argument
• Look up a sports score
• Get current traffic or public transit information
• Get help in an emergency situation
