Study: 94 percent of top 100 brands have Google+ pages

But the number of people following these companies on Google+ is a far cry from the hundreds of millions who ‘like’ brands on Facebook.

Nearly all of the top 100 brands in the world have done so, according to a new study from BrightEdge. The list of top brands is based on Millward Brown’s “Brandz Top 100 Most Valuable Brands” chart.

The study found that 94 percent of the top 100 brands have Google+ pages; 64 percent of them created their sites in the first week possible.

The number of people following these pages pales in comparison to that of Facebook.
