Study: Burger King home to fast food’s slowest drive-thru
It must be all that flame broiling. Plus, Starbucks hits a Pumpkin Spice shortage, Nestlé Drumstick hits 1 million fans and sings about it, the homes of famous writers, what some writers did to make ends meet, Tebow’s ambiguous ‘666’ tweet, and more.

Sure, Burger King says we can have it our way—as long as our way doesn’t warrant having it now. According to a study commissioned by QSR magazine (meaning “quick-service restaurants”), frequenters of the chain endure the slowest drive-thru in fast food, clocked at an average wait time of nearly 3 minutes 20 seconds (201.33 seconds). Meanwhile, Wendy’s has the fastest at slightly less than 2 minutes 10 seconds (129.75 seconds). (Not exactly the “right away” that Willard Scott promised back in the day.) Burger King also had the worse accuracy ratings of the seven chains surveyed.
