A recently released Harris poll shows that overall consumer sentiment has increased for the second straight year after slipping in 2009.
The poll was conducted online among more than 25,000 U.S. consumers. The rankings are based on familiarity, quality, and purchase consideration.
Among the highest-rated brands were Target Stores, Nintendo, and M&Ms. Panera Bread won out in the casual dining category, and Subway beat its burger-building competitors in the quick-service industry. Verizon was rated the best mobile network.
