Study: Fewer than 1 percent of website visits come from social media

Despite the low number, there is some good news, namely that customers influenced by social media spend more money.

A new study from ForeSee Results found that fewer than 1 percent of website visits come from a social media URL.

The study also found that 18 percent of websites visitors are “influenced” by social media.

The 1 percent and 18 percent are discouraging—until ForeSee hits you with this bit: Of nearly 300,000 consumers surveyed, the people who were influenced by social media spend more and are more satisfied and loyal customers than their un-social counterparts.
