Supreme Court: What in the codswallop is a text message?

Think you’re behind on the latest tech talk? A recent Supreme Court case involving a “sexting” incident should have included a primer on modern technology for many of the justices. During arguments in The City of Ontario vs. Quon, Chief Justice John Roberts inquired about the difference between e-mail and a pager; Justice Anthony Kennedy wondered if text messages can get tangled in the ether; and Justice Antonio Scalia was unclear on the term “service provider.”
