Survey identifies the ‘coolest’ brands, countries and people

Apple, Converse, and Sony are the bee’s knees. So are Barack Obama and Lady Gaga. Angela Merkel and Richard Branson, not so much.

Recently, the company unveiled a list of the coolest brands, countries and people.

In the brands category, nearly 80 percent of Americans age 15-25 deem Apple and its iPhone “cool.” Converse and Sony came in second at 66 percent. Other cool brands are H&M, Nike, Nintendo and Coca-Cola, with about 6 out of 10 youngsters labeling them as such.

When it comes to celebs, Johnny Depp, Barack Obama, and Lady Gaga are the coolest. According to an InSites press release: “Angela Merkel and Richard Branson on the other hand cannot count on the youth’s appreciation. They compose the list of least cool famous people, nobody in the U.S. thought they were cool.” Ouch.
