I’ve learned several things over the last eight years of freelancing—when it’s supplemented my income or comprised its entirety.
When people ask me about it, I tell them the truth: Sometimes you feel like a bill collector, but the hours are great. Unless you’re willing to scratch and compromise for every dollar you make, freelancing is probably not for you.
