The violent death of a press release

You know the  scene in the movie Office Space when the three office workers take their printer to a grassy field and destroy it with their feet, fists, and a baseball bat. That’s what happens in this video, which is a commercial for Pitch Engine, except they destroy a press release. Unlike the Office Space scene, this one features a panda. Is it a non sequitur or are we missing a pop reference? Do tell.
