Speaking of controversial advertising, are these two L’Oreal ads featuring actress Julia Roberts and supermodel Christy Turlington too airbrushed? The British seem to think so.

Also causing a stir in Europe, former Smiths front man and unwavering vegan Morrissey drew the outrageous parallel that the recent Norway massacre was “nothing compared to what happens in McDonald’s” and KFC every day. The statement was made during the singer’s concert in Poland on Sunday before performing the song “Meat is Murder.”

At least McDonald’s and others are trying to curb obesity with calorie counts included on its menus. Too bad experts can’t determine whether it’s working or not.
