Breaking windows can turn your cause into a riot; to really organize a protest, you need a calling card. Thankfully for participants of “Occupy Wall Street,” The New York Times did the work for them so they can just keep on fighting. For Apple, it’s a broken record. The company’s newest iPhone model, the 4S, has broken first-day pre-sale records by topping 1 million orders. First-day orders for last year’s iPhone 4 topped out at just over 600,000.

For Twitter, it means a breakthrough in court. The social network has reportedly been granted control of the trademark on the term “tweet.”
