According to a new study, many people—certainly more than we’d have thought—claim they’d rather go without shoes, caffeine, even sex than without their cell phones.

Something else Americans seem to be crazy about (again)—vinyl, which was the fastest-growing music format in the United States last year. Instead of a new record, though, it was the Beatle’s 1969 classic LP “Abbey Road” that took top billing with album lovers.

Speaking of American, American Apparel’s at it again. This time, it’s a shirt with the message “Teenagers Do It Better” plastered across the chest that has critics up in arms. Do you find it offensive? I’m not too bothered by it. Its $24 price tag, on the other hand…

And what’s a Friday wrap-up without mention of Google+? The social network has amped up its battle to take on Facebook by tempting users with games from developers Zynga and Rovio.
