Amidst the many tears I’ve shed in the losing battle for more precious flip-flop weather, I—and more important, you, my loyal readers—have apparently overlooked that September is “Be Kind to Editors and Writers Month.” So here’s the deal: I’ll forgive your neglect thus far, but I expect there to be endless droves of deliveries and singing telegrams for what few days remain of said celebration.

As punishment: In Facebook news, almost 8,000 tweets were sent during the f8 conference.

So, we know why I’m so dismayed, but what the frack has got you all bothered? If you’re a PR pro in the natural gas industry, it might have some to do with this term.

Meanwhile, a word that PR pros should learn to use more often, whether it’s with clients or colleagues, is “no.”
