U.S.-based Georgia Chopsticks is selling is namesake product to … wait for it … the Chinese. Made in the USA, baby! Sweet (Silicon) Valley High—despite nearly four years of economic troubles, the U.S. tech Mecca still holds to its adolescent dreams of wealth, a promising livelihood. Burger King loses its head: Fast feeder dethrones its “King.” Meanwhile, a young model’s parents are losing their proverbial heads, suing a photographer for releasing provocative images of their then 15-year-old daughter that are now on T-shirts sold at Urban Outfitters. Elsewhere, Greenpeace put its hook in “Big Tuna,” but the fish isn’t going to be reeled in without a fight. Radio advertising: “unnaturally inexpensive.” But underestimating the power of the airwaves isn’t the only mistake to avoid. And finally, another vehicle that marketers are not fully embracing—social media, at least according to this new study.
