To encourage voting, Uber and Lyft offer Election Day perks

Two ride-hailing companies are doing what they can to sway users to vote. Here’s what each is offering—and how execs communicated the deals online.

It’s Election Day—and Uber and Lyft want you to leave your car at home.

Uber teamed up with Google to provide an in-app feature that will help you find your polling place. An “Uber to Your Polling Place” option will give background on your precinct’s hours and who’s on the ballot.

Do you know how you’re getting to the polling place to cast your ballot? Let Uber and Google help you get out to vote.

As part of our ongoing campaign to encourage users to vote, Uber is teaming up with Google to launch a special in-app feature on November 8th that will help you locate your polling location and then seamlessly request a ride with just a push of a button.
