While the winners and losers of Thursday evening’s vice presidential debate between Joe Biden and Paul Ryan were quickly decided thanks to social media, now is the time when media outlets provide fact-checks of the claims made by our country’s current second-in-command and his GOP challenger.

So, I figured we would wind down this week with a little fact-checking of our own. Take out your No. 2 pencils, folks. It’s time for a true-or-false pop-quiz.

And here we go:

1. Marketers are pulling for an Obama victory.

True, according to an informal poll taken Thursday at the Association of National Advertisers annual meeting. Advertising Age reports that the nation’s top marketing executives favor Democrats.

2. If Obama wins, Jet Blue will fly you out of the country.
