Trust in U.S. business climbs 18 percent globally

Good news for American business. According to Edelman’s 2010 Trust Barometer, trust in U.S. businesses has jumped 18 points from last year to 54 percent. This means more than half of the people surveyed in 22 countries said they trust U.S. companies “to do what is right.” “These levels of trust are approaching those measured by Edelman before the ‘great recession,’ at the height of the economic expansion in 2006 and 2007,” according to an Edelman press release.
