Twitter users dub McDonald’s #NotSmart after price increase

Consumers of the fast-food chain definitely weren’t ‘lovin’ it’ in their online mentions of the brand’s recent ‘McPick 2’ menu shift.

We didn’t know how lucky we were.

McDonald’s customers took to Twitter this week to express disappointment after the fast-food chain raised its ” McPick 2” menu prices.

Before the change, consumers could choose between a double cheeseburger, mozzarella sticks, small french fries or McChicken sandwich—any two of which cost $2. Now, the McPick 2 menu has evolved to include chicken McNuggets, Filet-O-Fish and a Quarter Pounder with Cheese. There’s a catch though—the damage on two of these “higher value” items is $5.

This shift is comparable in nature to putting items on the dollar menu that cost more than a dollar, which McDonald’s did last year.

Plenty of Twitter users complained about the high price point:

Words can’t describe how disappointed I am about the discontinued McPick2
