Uber builds new headquarters for ‘maximum transparency’

There seems to be a symbolic meaning to the company’s new campus being almost all glass.

The revolutionary car service company Uber hasn’t exactly been praised for its transparency, but it may be trying to change that perception if the design for its new headquarters is any indication.

The company’s negative PR trail has been well documented on this site, including this, this and this (among many more). This time, the story is about the company’s ultra modern office space, which is planned for San Francisco’s Mission Bay area.

The campus will feature glass—and lots of it—in what the architects say will allow for “maximum transparency.” Literally, that simply means a lot of windows, but Uber is aiming for some figurative meaning, too.
