Which words do you write that you’d never say?

Poynter has compiled a list of words that journalists often write that many people would never utter aloud. The same could be said for PR pros.

Let’s face it: We all want to come across as intelligent when we write. To accomplish this, sometimes we, ahem, leverage words in print that we would never actually speak.

On Wednesday, Poynter writer Kristen Hare sent out a call on Twitter for those words that appear in journalists’ articles, but never (or quite rarely) in their speech:
