As the protests in Egypt reach new heights, the president and his advisors are trying to carefully communicate their message to the American public, the Egyptian people, and the world. Adding to the PR maelstrom is the addition of new advisors — David Plouffe and William Daley — to the President’s staff.

“Overseeing both of those communication efforts are several newcomers to the administration — some of whom are just settling into their West Wing offices but are already responsible for managing a major foreign policy crisis and its inevitable political ramifications,” The New York Times reports.
