The Holmes Report and ICCO annual study polls more than 400 global PR agency leaders. It shows that optimism levels are down slightly from 7.7 out of 10 last year to 7.5 in 2013. The United States bucked the trend, though. Optimism here increased from 8.06 to 8.08.
Here’s some good news: In North America, the feeling was strong (8.19) that corporate CEOs were taking reputation more seriously.
“Overall, PR agency principals in Western Europe have more in common with their peers in emerging markets than they do with those in other developed markets such as the US and the UK,” said Paul Holmes, editor of The Holmes Report, in a summary on the company’s website.
