One of the most read comic books flexed some superpower strength at the box office this weekend, as “The Avengers” earned $200.3 million in ticket sales domestically —a new opening weekend record.
As for a film that has yet to be released, 20th Century Fox has retitled its formerly named Ben Stiller comedy “Neighborhood Watch” to simply “The Watch.” The change comes in the wake of the highly publicized shooting of Trayvon Martin by neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman.
There appears to be no changing the name of the game for One Million Moms. The conservative family values group and its members have gone after JC Penney—again—this time for an image in the retailer’s May catalog depicting a lesbian couple.
