Universal Studios has made $5.53 billion so far in 2015, thanks to the successes of both “Furious 7” and “Jurassic World,” which now holds the record for the largest box-office revenue during its opening weekend. Universal beat last year’s record of $5.52 billion in box-office revenue, held by 20th Century Fox.
With this week’s release of “Fantastic Four” and a big fall ahead, Fox could give Universal a run for its money.
