Last night at the Emmys, former White House press secretary Sean Spicer hopped onstage for an opening bit about Trump’s inauguration attendance. It landed with a thud.

The Washington Post described it as a “yucky cameo.”

After that inauspicious beginning, the gala awards ceremony headed in a more positive direction, and certain media companies—broadcast and streaming entities alike—made the most of their triumphs via social media.
