It’s the latest trend among obscure college athletes—create a video showcasing your talent and hope it goes viral. Here are three examples.

All the rage among obscure college athletes is to showcase their talent through trick shot videos in the hope they’ll go viral online.

Take Connecticut quarterback Johnny McEntee. In the following YouTube video, which has garnered more than 5 million views, we’re treated to an uncanny display of arm strength and passing accuracy:

Not to be outdone, Alex Tanney of tiny Monmouth College can be seen in this video, with the SEO-friendly title “Alex Tanney Trick Shot Quarterback—Better Than Johnny Mac.” It boasts nearly 800,000 page views since it was posted on Feb. 20:
