Word of the year is ‘unfriend’
Every year, the New Oxford America Dictionary selects a word of the year (or WOTY, as they call it). The WOTY for 2009 is, “unfriend.” Here’s the definition: “To remove someone as a ‘friend’ on a social networking site such as Facebook.” (Not bad, though “sexting” would have been much better.)
