All 10 trending topics on Twitter referred to Casey Anthony verdict—and Entenmann’s hijacked one
Twitter exploded with reactions after the verdict came down, causing Entenmann’s to (unknowingly) use one of the trending hashtags. That sparked mini outrage and inspired a fake Entenmann’s PR Twitter feed.
News of the verdict caused Twitter to explode. Currently, all 10 trending topics in the U.S. refer to the trial, from the straightforward #caseyanthony verdict to the more bizarre #youknowtheycheating, which featured tweets like:
