Americans will do anything for a cheaper hotel rate, but they won’t do that …

A new study found that 85 percent will give up something for a discounted room rate, but only a few will give up their mobile device.

Certainly not a discounted rate on a hotel room, according to SpringHill Suites’ annual travel survey.

It asked whether Americans would be willing to give up something to get a 25 percent discount on their room rate. Most (85 percent) were willing to do so.

However, when it came to giving up their mobile device for that discount, only 26 percent said they’d do it. More than half (54 percent) said they’d give up booze for that discount.
