America’s confidence in newspapers and TV news increases
The results of a new Gallup poll show the public’s trust in traditional media has rebounded slightly, although the numbers still remain low.

The percentage of Americans who expressed a “great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in newspapers is 28 percent. The percentage saying the same about television news is 27 percent.
In 2007, a mere 23 percent and 22 percent of Americans said they had great trust for newspapers and TV news, respectively. The number has since climbed slowly.
