Another shoe-ing, this time by the shareholders of a Belgian bank

A meeting of Fortis bank shareholders turned rowdy this week, after a group of angry shareholders threw shoes at members of the banks board and urged the chairman to resign. Almost 73 percent of shareholders gave approval for a controversial takeover by BNP Paribas of France at the end of a dramatic extraordinary general meeting.
