As the public started to forget about his embarrassing 2011 sexting scandal, former congressman Anthony Weiner relatively quietly entered the public relations field. Turns out his tenure as a PR man wasn’t meant to be.

Weiner spent just two months as a public policy expert for the New York-based firm MWW. The New York Post first reported Weiner’s departure on Page Six, citing an internal MWW memo from CEO Michael Kempner that read, “He understands that his presence here has created noise and distraction that just isn’t helpful.”

In his statements to Page Six, Weiner disputed Kempner’s statements.
