Apple’s slow reveal: All hail the iPad 2

Leaking information to the press is nothing new. Public relations pros have been doing it for years, but one company has perfected it in the digital age: Apple.

Isn’t it interesting that details of the iPad2 emerged in The Wall Street Journal right around the same time that HP was drumming up excitement for its tablet?

By all indications, the new iPad sounds like it’s going to be a super-sweet update to the current iteration. There’s a camera! A faster processor! And it tells you you’re pretty and that everything will be all right. Allegedly.
