Arby’s find social media marketing success with Facebook Timeline

A coupon made available using the social network’s timeline feature aids the roast beef chain in revisiting 1964, the same year the franchise was founded.

To celebrate its 48th anniversary, the fast food franchise is offering a coupon for a $0.64 roast beef sandwich—the same price it was when the company first launched in 1964.

“We thought it would be a clever way to leverage Facebook’s new timeline functionality and have fans scroll back in time to redeem our anniversary offer,” Jo Ann Herold, VP of communications and public relations at Arby’s Restaurant Group told
