Ashley Madison CEO steps down following hack

The website’s parent company said the resignation was in its ‘best interests.’

The company’s CEO, Noel Biederman, stepped down Friday, weeks after account information—including emails and logins—for Ashley Madison’s roughly 37 million users was posted online following a website hack.

Vv Magazine published an interview with Biederman in April, in which he discussed data breaches. Biderman said, “If anyone tells you that they don’t fear hacking, they are lying to you.” He then exhorted the security his company offered its users:
