Biden’s PR team stuffed a journalist in a closet

The VP’s communications director sent Orlando Sentinel writer Scott Powers a note that said, ‘You have our sincere apologies.’

That wasn’t the case last week, when Biden’s communications team kept Orlando Sentinel reporter Scott Powers in a closet during a fundraiser.

Here’s the scoop from The Huffington Post:

“[Powers] was serving as the pool reporter for a fundraiser in Florida, where Biden was appearing to raise money on behalf of Sen. Bill Nelson on Wednesday. Powers arrived before Biden did. But to keep him from talking to the many high-profile guests at the event, a member of Biden’s staff stuffed Powers in a storage closet and stood guard outside the door until she deemed it ‘safe’ for Powers to emerge.”

ABC News’ Jake Tapper
reported that the vice president’s spokeswoman, Elizabeth Alexander, sent Powers a note that said: “Scott – You have our sincere apologies for the lack of a better hold room.”
