Biggest branding stunt ever? Pennsylvania town renames for $25K

For 60 days, the town of Altoona will be known as “POM Wonderful Presents the Greatest Movie Ever Sold.” Seriously.

That’s because filmmaker Morgan Spurlock is paying the city $25,000 for naming rights in connection with his upcoming movie that now shares the same name as a town in Pennsylvania.

In the movie, the Super Size Me director sets out to add a bit of transparency to the moviemaking business by exposing the intricacies of product placement.
