Burger King’s ‘Global Warming is Baloney’ signs were meant to ‘raise awareness’

This is the story that just won’t die. JJ McNelis, the marketing director of the company behind the Burger King franchises that displayed “Global Warming is Baloney” signs, spoke with Lou Dobbs. According to McNelis, the signs went up to shift the conversation away from what they thought was bad marketing on Burger King’s part. “By golly, we certainly succeeded on that front,” he said. Sales also increased thanks to the signs, he added.
