Canada: Tweet about election results and face $25K fine

PR Daily’s Canada editor thinks the nation’s election officials are all bark, no bite. But would you risk the fine to tweet on Election Day on May 2?

The nation is warning its citizens not to tweet or post about the May 2 election results until after the last poll closes.

According to CTV:

“Anyone who tweets or posts election results online before the last poll closes next Monday could result in a $25,000 fine, Elections Canada says.”
