Companies that saw revenue boosts had used social media to grab new business

The past year proved lucrative for half of the companies using social media to acquire new business, according to a report.

The number of companies that successfully use social networks for customer acquisition is up 8 percent points— from 35 to 43 percent—in 2011 compared with a year ago. This is according to a Regus study. Worldwide, the number has reached 47 percent, compared with 40 percent a year ago.
