Under the cover of darkness early on Tuesday, New York police cleared Zuccotti Park of the Occupy Wall Street protesters—reminiscent, in a way, of Daley flouting the law and bulldozing a private airport in the middle of the night.
Unlike the airport, protesters on Tuesday morning returned to Zuccotti Park, chanting “F*** you, Bloomberg” as media and police looked on.
Thursday would be the two-month anniversary of the protest movement in New York and, according to the Associated Press, protesters plan to march on Wall Street to mark the occasion.
