The latest offering from the new media startup News Deeply has turned its attention to the Ebola outbreak with the website Ebola Deeply.

The News Deeply model is so simple that it’s a wonder no one thought of it before. Offer your own high quality, independent journalism, aggregate the best stories from other sites, pull in video and social media, along with interactive features like an up-to-date map showing what specific regions are affected by the news and you have yourself something innovative.

Ebola Deeply‘s goal, according to the site, is to “add greater clarity, deeper understanding and more sustained engagement to the global conversation.”

To accomplish this, News Deeply boasts a stable of 34 freelancers in the U.S. and Africa, and it gives in-depth coverage to other specific topics, such as Syria Deeply.
